Games Galore
Tuesday, November 11, 2008

About yesterday, Monday 10 November.

I had brought two pails for the girls' game. And a trash bag full of blown up balloons. It was so bulky! Almost everyone I passed was staring at the bag. It had to take up the spot next to me when I sat down.

We were the last class to leave the parade square, becos Mdm G was late in taking us. She sent most of the boys to carry tables from our classroom down to the Foyer A, while the rest of us began to set up our stalls.

After the tables had been brought down, everyone got to work. I didn't know what 2 of our class' 4 stalls were doing, so I went to see. One was a game which consisted of a water gun, 40 empty drink cans and a lot, a LOT of water. The other was shooting a tower of empty drink cans down with a "rubber band pistol" (aka rbp) and hitting another tower with tennis balls. 2 games in 1!

At first, my group's stall didn't get many customers. Then as more and more kids played, they told their friends and soon we had many more! Nicole's sister played a lot too. The games with the most customers that morning had to be both the rbp game and water gun game. Their queues were quite long!

In the afternoon, the rbp game still maintained its queue but the water gun game had only one customer for the whole afternoon! The boys manning the stall gave up and left about half an hour early.

Soon, the time came to pack up. Christy took the coupons to hand up after we finished while the rest of us got ready to leave. We weren't sure whether to leave the tables there or not, bcos Mdm G said that the boys were supposed to bring them up. But I saw only Jeremy, who was in a rush to get home. He rushed off as Chiu Yao came up to carry more tables. He complained, but went off with 2 tables. I took a table and followed, and on the way Jeremy re-appeared, taking a table. Nicole followed after considering for a while.

When I reached the stairs, Yong Jian was trying to carry a table up with his bottle balancing on top. I carried my table by the front and passed him. When I came back down, he was almost at the top. I guess he was slower bcos that wasn't his first table. I took another table, but this time I left my bag at the foot of the stairs. I came back down to meet Nicole carrying 2 chairs. She told me that Chiu Yao had carried 6 chairs! I wasn't that surprised since he had also carried most of the tables. I took both chairs and went home after that.

And that concludes Monday.
